Il procedimento diinchiostrazione digitale (digital inking) può essere molto lungo e noioso, anche se certamente presenta meno rischi di quello a mano, dove si rischia di rovinare tutto ad ogni tratto.

Per semplificare ulteriormente le cose viene in aiuto la funzione di scripting di Photoshop che permette di inchiostrare al volo il path appena disegnato: auto stroke path.
