Erodoto (485 BC) è considerato il padre degli storici. Benchè Tucidide lo accusasse di includere miti e leggende nei suoi scritti, molti archeologi hanno confermato gran parte dei contenuti dell'autore greco.

Herodotus è un sito che racconta la storia in comodi capitoli partendo dal 2500 AC per arrivare al Rinascimento.
