John Woo e' il produttore dell'ultima incarnazione sul grande schermo di Appleseed: Ex Machina.

Deunan e Briareos stavolta vedono la loro consolidata partnership messa alla prova in modo insolito dall'arrivo di un Bioroid sperimentale di nome Tereus.

La realizzazione, come al solito per questa serie, e' ibrida, completamente in 3D per mezzi, corpi ed ambienti, ma quando ci sono in campo capelli o primi piani del viso fa capolino quel pizzico di cel shading che richiede il look anime. Il risultato e' decisamente spettacolare.
