John Conrad Berkey
John Conrad Berkey (1932 - 2008) è stato uno dei grandi pittori di fantascienza americani.

Dopo aver lavorato con la NASA negli anni '60 ha illustrato con il suo stile sorprendentemente espressionista anche molti dei manifesti originali di Guerre Stellari, ma i suoi quadri originali erano un riferimento del mitico concept artist Ralph McQuarrie.

Berkey è anche tra le maggiori fonti di ispirazione di James Gurney, Drew Struzan, Stephen Youll, John Picacio, Brandon Peterson e Michael Kaluta.
