Alan Wake 2 è stato un vero e proprio beniamino della critica. Il sequel dell'horror si è imposto come uno dei videogiochi più votati del 2023, il che non è poco se si considera che nell'anno in questione sono usciti anche titoli del calibro di Baldur's Gate 3, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Diablo IV e Spider-Man 2. Il suo successo ha consolidato la già solida reputazione di Remedy come uno dei migliori produttori di videogiochi del settore.
