Heart of the Machine è un gioco molto particolare dove si impersona una AI divenuta senziente che distribuisce la sua coscienza su più entità mecccaniche, per potenziarle e configurarle in modo da poter combattere, hackerare e persuadere le varie fazioni della città. In questo gioco a turni che ricorda un po' Stellaris, è possibile trovare una moltitudine di modi per raggiungere un determinato obiettivo.
