Le volpi addomesticate di Belyayev

Agli inizi degli anni '50 il genetista sovietico Dmitry Belyayev iniziò un esperimento di selezione sulle volpi, facendo accoppiare, e quindi tramandando, i geni delle più socievoli. Le volpi di Belyaev sono quindi parzialmente addomesticate. Il processo ha rivelato aspetti interessanti su quello che potrebbe essere successo nel passaggio dai lupi (aggressivi) ai cani (amichevoli) oltre 10.000 anni fa.
