Delia Derbyshire è stata una pioniera della musica elettronica. Nata a COventry nel 1937 ha iniziato a lavorare nel laboratorio radiofonico della BBC negli anni '60 e ha realizzato l'iconica sigla di Dr. Who.

E' considerata tra le figure più influenti per artisti come Aphex Twin, The Chemical Brothers e Paul Hartnoll degli Orbital.
