Dragon's Heaven OVA (1988) è un bellissimo anime degli anni '80 che la storia ha quasi dimenticato. Moebius non ha mai lavorato direttamente ad un anime, ma guardandolo è immediatamente a lui che si pensa. I migliori anime mecha tendono a essere trascurati, ma questo è così bello da vedere che potrebbe anche appartenere al genere. Lo stile artistico di Moebius ha influenzato così pesantemente gli animatori giapponesi negli anni '80 che, per un breve periodo, anime come questo erano indistinguibili da ciò a cui rendevano omaggio. Makoto Kobayashi è uno di questi.

"Dragon's Heaven" ha avuto anche una serie manga, continuata negli artbook di Makoto Kobayashi "Hyper Weapon".
